About Me
I am an independent researcher, visual documentarian, author, and photographer based in India, dedicated to the Teesta River and its people. For more than a decade, my work has combined long-term field research, photography, film, and oral history to document landscapes, livelihoods, and riverine cultures undergoing rapid change. My ongoing archive and the book Teesta Bathan preserve stories and traditions that are disappearing, creating a lasting public record for future research, education, and documentary practice.
